Robert A. Shock (79) of Attica died at 4:06 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his home. Mr. Shock was born May 13, 1932 in Bloomville to the late Earl and Ruth Marie (Keppler) Shock and was married to Geraldine Mae (Snyder) who preceded him in death in 2003. He was employed at Midwest Industries retiring in 1994 and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Shock served many years on the AVR and was a member of the Attica American Legion and Cleveland Browns backer Club He enjoyed volunteering at the Oak Ridge Festival.
Mr. Shock is survived by his 4 sons: Dennis E. (Deb) Shock of Clyde, Richard A. (Sandra) Shock of Willard, James C. Shock and Ronald L. Shock, both of Attica. 2 daughters; Judy M. (Keith) Hopple and Barbara A. (Arnold) Smith, both of Attica. 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
2 brothers; Charles (Shirley) Shock of Tennessee and Lyle Shock of Bloomville.
1 sister; Rose Marie (George) Ziegler of Sycamore.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. March 24, 2012 at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Township Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8 Friday March 23 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice or the AVR Fire Department through the funeral home.
