Shelby Robinson

Funeral Service will be at 2pm Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Mt. Lebanon FCM Church with Bro. Alvin Turner officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 until 2pm. Burial at Mt. Lebanon FCM Church Cemetery.

Shelby was a lifelong resident of Steele. She married John Melvin Robinson on December 24, 1952. Together they created a beautiful life, having two sons and were able to celebrate their 50th year anniversary. Shelby was baptized at Steele Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of Mt. Lebanon FCM Church. She enjoyed serving the Lord and supporting her husband, who was a deacon. She also took pride in being involved in all church and community activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Robinson; parents, Jennings and Velma Moore; grandparents, Nannie Frazier and Will Moore; John Beason and Dora Sullivan Beason; mother and father in law, Viola and Melvin Robinson; lifetime friends, Bob and Ellen Trewhitt, Syble and LD Rayford, John and June Cook.

She is survived by her sons, John Lynn (Kathy) Robinson, Jimmy Glynn (Ginger) Robinson; sister, Mary Elizabeth Beard Gilliland (Lee); grandchildren, Dr. Leslie Jean Robinson Sawyer (Joey), Julie Kay Robinson Tillman, Justin Caleb Robinson (Josie); great grandchildren, Anna Sawyer, Will Sawyer, Drew Sawyer, Journey Skye Robinson, Emma Tillman, many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Glynn Robinson, Dean Green, Justin Robinson, Joey Sawyer, Johnny Cone, and Johnny Beasley.
