A Graveside service for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery located at 7400 Tabor Road, Gadsden, AL 35904. Dakota Pope to officiate.
John was a graduate of Etowah High School, Class of 1979. After high school, he attended Auburn University receiving a degree in Microbiology. He worked for UAB in cancer research. His desire was to become an attorney. He enrolled in the University of Alabama School of law. In 1989, he was admitted to the Alabama Bar Association. He was a practicing attorney for 35 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Anderson and Bertie Morgan; brothers, Harold Morgan, and Charles Morgan; sister, Carolyn Bowen; and nephew, Raymond Morgan.
John is survived by Hunter Morgan; brothers, William (Nina) Morgan and Tommy Morgan; along with numerous family members.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Fund in John’s honor.
Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
