Jerry Wayne Jones

Funeral Service for Jerry Wayne Jones, 69 of Attalla who passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 will be at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 1:00 p.m. with Allan Durrough officiating. Burial to follow at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. He will lie-in-state for one hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

He was previously employed by Lamanco and went on to his current employer Plant Engineering and Maintenance where he began working in 2001.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Owen, Jr. and Pauline Jones; brothers: Owen Jones, III and Larry Jones; grandparents: Owen H. and Ida Jones and John and Ruth Townson.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Charlotte Jones; sons: Nathan (Dale) Jones and Clay AKA Bumper (Wendy) Jones; sister, Karen (Robert) Guyton. He is also survived by his grandsons: Jagur Blake (Savanna) Teet, Tyler (Samantha) Womack and Bryson Jones; great grandchildren: Alina Jade and Jaqur Blaze Teet; sister-in-law, Margaret Jones; nephews, Coley Guyton and Lee Jones; nieces, Morgan Guyton and Melissa (Dale) Talton; his close and dear friends, Raymond (Nudy) Guest and Rodney (Nunnie) Spears.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Guest, Rodney Spears, Allen Honeycutt, Ricky Black, Rodney Hurst, Coley Guyton, Dale Tolton, and Larry Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Bagley and Todd Haynie.
