Danny Lee Blevins, native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and resident of Gadsden, Alabama died after unexpected complications from surgery on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on June 25, 1949, the son of Merle Edgar Blevins and Helen Flynn Blevins.
After attending Cape Fear High School, Danny served honorably in the United States Army. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Danny was a successful entrepreneur and owned serval local businesses including Direct Mail Promotions, Boulevard Auto, and Boulevard Suzuki. He was very driven and worked tirelessly for the success of his businesses.
Danny married his sweetheart, Mamie Lou Peele, in 1971; They celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing in 2021.
Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Blevins; His parents, Ed and Helen Blevins; brother, Bill; sisters, Carolyn, and Brenda; and grandson, Rowan Blevins. Danny is survived by his sons, Michael (Merry) Blevins, Timothy (Leah) Blevins, and Jon (Katie) Stone; Grandchildren, Natalie Blevins, Devon Stone, and Matthew Stone; numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved Yorkie, Dolly.
Danny enjoyed entertaining, boating, fishing, and golfing with friends in his free time. He lived life to the fullest and will be remembered most for his strong work ethic and generosity.
