Brittany "Bennie" Jones

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brittany "Bennie" Jones, age 24 of Attalla, will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.

Brittany passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home. Bennie was loved by all that knew her. She was married to her eighth grade sweetheart, Austin, for six years. They have two children, Ellie (6) and Wade (3). Bennie was a helping hand for anyone who needed her. She enjoyed family time more than anything in the world. Brittany loved Gatlinburg and traveling the world with her family. Some of her favorite things were big cups, Sonic ice, flip flops and kids. She wouldn’t think twice about loading up 8 kids and taking them to the movies, park or just to play at their house. Brittany was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She would do anything it took to make you smile. If she knew you were hurting or in need she would send you a text, make you get out and clear your mind, send you a gift, or whatever she thought would cheer you up. Brittany never missed an event for her children, nephews or anyone else she was around. She was a safe haven to many of us and we could trust her to always be there. She played a major part in so many lives and will be missed so dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Austin Jones, her children, Ellie and Wade Jones, her father, Jeffery Weldon (Melissa), her mother, Chasity Maples (John), her parents-in-law, Justin and Jennifer Jones, her grandmothers, Joyce Weldon and Kay Miller, her grandfather, Ray Russell, her step-grandparents, Sharon and Ricky Vandegrift, her siblings, David Weldon, Hannah Weldon, Daniel Maples (Allison) and Kasey Mellown, her sister-in-law, Morgan Vaughn (Dylan), her brother-in-law, Cody Jones (Bri), seven nephews, two nieces, numerous cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry Maples, Edna Maples and Leroy Weldon, her uncle, Steve Weldon, her niece, Carlie Vaughn and her cousin, Matt Weldon.

Active Pallbearers will be: David Weldon, Cody Jones, Dylan Vaughn, Brian Vandegrift, Ricky Waldron, Lil Ricky Waldron and Cayd Waldron.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tate Smith, Oakley Smith, Brody Jones, Briar Smith, Jace Vaughn, Zayne Vaughn and Justin Jones.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kevin Sampey, Lori Smith, Chad with Cooks and Attalla Fire Department.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Morgan Funeral Chapel and until service time at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
