Bill was born in Mobile, Alabama where he lived until moving to Atlanta as an adult. He attended St. Pius X Catholic School from kindergarten through eighth grade and played basketball and pee-wee football. Bill was an active tennis player for McGill-Toolen Catholic High School where he graduated in 1988. After high school, Bill attended University of South Alabama and ultimately received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Kennesaw State University, just north of Atlanta. He worked in the insurance adjusting industry in Mobile before moving back to Atlanta to be near his family.
Always quick with a joke or funny remark, Bill's sense of humor was unmatched. A music lover, he learned to play guitar as a young teen and shared his passion with everyone close to him. Some of his favorite bands, and there were many, include Rush, R.E.M, Foo Fighters and Johnny Marr of The Smiths. Bill was also passionate about animals. A favorite pastime was spoiling and loving his beloved dogs, Moka and Bailey and cat, Biggs.
Bill passed away peacefully at home with his mother by his side. He is preceded in death by his father, Chris, of Mobile, stepfather Richard Harrison Brown of Atlanta and his maternal grandparents William and Edwina Brady, both of Mobile. He is survived by his mother, Janice Brady Brown (Richard) and sister Catherine (Greg Schrum), both of Atlanta, stepsister Stephanie Brown Vaughn (Larry) of Birmingham, Alabama as well as several cousins and his longtime girlfriend, Vicky Denton, and her children Savannah and Max, also of Atlanta.
There will be a private ceremony for close friends and family in Lillian, Alabama at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Atlanta Humane Society be made in his honor.
