Survived by Bettye, his wife of 67 years, daughter Lyn Zeman and her husband Mark, son Bob Schneider and his wife Martha, son Thomas Schneider III, grandchildren David Zeman, Robert Schneider, Carey Zeman, and Katie Morris, and great grandchildren Taylor and Ryan. Preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Virginia Schneider and his daughter Ginnie Bailey.
Thomas lived a full and wonderful life. After serving in the Navy and starting in business with his father at Tesco Chemicals, he transitioned into a compassionate clinical psychologist, impacting the lives of numerous patients. Sharing his insights into personal well-being, he authored several books as well as expanding into musical expression as a song writer and playwright creating his masterpiece Stages.
Thomas enjoyed the comradery of lifelong friends in the Paupers group. Sadly, the Paupers now comes to an end but their legend will live on. A Georgia Tech graduate, he loved following Yellow Jackets football, always reminding us during his playing days Coach Bobby Dodd once exclaimed ‘Good tackle, Schneider!’.
Thomas leaves behind an extraordinary legacy, a wonderful and loving family who will miss him dearly, a wealth of friends, and wants us all to remember to Share Joy.
A memorial service will be held at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Smyrna on Saturday July 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
