Bobby was born June 12, 1942 in Opelika, Alabama to Julius “JT” and Pauline Sexton. Drawn to Atlanta to attend and play basketball for Oglethorpe University in 1960, he found there the love of his life, Jane Lee. They were married on September 16, 1965. Together, Bobby and Jane Lee, raised two amazing children, Mont and Jodie and provided endless amounts of love to their two granddaughters, Emma and Abigail.
Bobby was known as a man of few words; however, he spoke often of his family and his faith. He loved playing golf, watching sports, laughing, telling horrible jokes, and eating dinner out with friends and family.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Jane Lee, his two children Mont and Jodie, his daughter-in-law Ashley, his son-in-law Todd, his two grandchildren Emma and Abigail and his brother Sidney.
Funeral services will be held at H.M. Patterson & Sons this Sunday afternoon, March 17th. Visitation to begin at 1:30, service at 3:00. The family will meet guests graveside for burial on Monday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m., Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
