Robert Benner, 69, of Smyrna, passed away of complications from Parkinson’s disease on Thursday, January 6, 2011. He graduated from the University of North Carolina and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He spent 35 years in the apparel business. Robert enjoyed boating and time spent at Hilton Head Island. Robert is survived by his wife, Frankie Wright Benner. A memorial service will be held at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church on Thursday, the twentieth of January at noon with a reception to follow.
