Reginald was the 6th of 9 children from that union and was affectionately called “Reggie” by his close family and friends.
He attended and graduated from Chamblee High School in 1976. After leaving high school he joined the US Air Force and relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he served honorably.
Upon returning to Atlanta he met and married Repunza Carr (Lewis) in 1989 and from their union came one child, Reginald (Demetrius) Carr, Jr.
As an avid animal lover he adopted his furbaby, Vixen Carr in 2018.
Reggie enjoyed reading and was a huge history buff. He loved computer science, was an avid sports enthusiast. He followed current politics with a passion and was an excellent unmatched debater, as he was never one to mince his words. His father awakened a love of car repair from an early age which he honed as an adult and shared his mechanical expertise with family, friends and coworkers.
He had an infectious personality and was highly regarded at his place of employment
He was highly regarded for his work ethics and dedication during his tenure of 10 plus years as Procurement/Sales Manager at JDL Industries, as well as his 20 plus years in management for Circuit City.
Reggie was generous and loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to family dinners and gatherings, and the family looked forward to his award worthy banana pudding.
Reggie is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny, Sr and Catherine Carr (Selman), brother, Johnny Carr, Jr (Junior) and sister, Frances (Gale) Carr McDaniel.
He was a committed husband, father, brother, and uncle; he departed this life too soon. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Repunza and son, Demetrius. Brother, Michael Carr, Sr (Jackie) – Sisters, Mila Usher, Cathy Carr (Ricky), Portia Dennis (Rodrick), Lisa Kinnemore (Garry) and Karen BenRamak (Abdelaziz) and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
