Mary Boulineau Youngblood, age 86, died on Saturday July 17, 2010 after a prolonged illness. Mary was born in Thomson, GA on Nov. 15, 1923. She was a native of Atlanta and graduated from Sacred Heart School in 1942. She was married for more than fifty years to William M. Youngblood of Atlanta. Mary worked for the Equifax Corporation in the communications area. She loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, traveling, reading, and her friends. She was well known for her kindness and cheerfulness in any situation, but Mary’s main interest was in being with her family. She was an energetic playmate for her five great grandchildren who affectionately called her Mimi and loved her dearly. She was a grandmother like no other!
Her death was preceded by parents Ada and George E. Boulineau; by “Cousin”, Helen Eugenia Sullivan; by husband, William M. Youngblood; son-in-law, Timothy J. Sweeney; sister, Margaret L. Warren; brother in law, J. Porter Warren; and nephew, John Warren. Mary is survived by children, Elizabeth Sweeney, Anne Feaster, and William M. Youngblood, Jr., and their respective spouses, Houston J. Feaster and Barbara F. Youngblood. Mary was a beloved grandmother to Erin Oswalt (Chris), Daniel Sweeney (Billy), Houston H. Feaster (Katrienne), Suzanne Feaster, Ieleen Torrence (Michael), Ellen Runyon (Mark), and William F. Youngblood. She will be missed by her niece and nephews, David Warren, Michael Warren, and Mary Lee Johnson and their families. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. The Internment will follow at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Springs. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at H. M. Patterson and Son, Oglethorpe Hill, on Peachtree Road in Atlanta (404-261-3510).
