She moved to Dallas, TX, in 1986 and then on to Atlanta, GA in 1995, where she worked in commercial real estate for RREEF America, LLC. and resided for the past 23 years.
Julia was a passionate supporter of the arts, skilled photographer, avid beach go-er, music enthusiast, and a dedicated animal lover.
She was a light— known for her warm hospitality and a knack for forming long-lasting friendships wherever she went.
She was an alum of Michigan State University, her team that she ferociously cheered on ‘til the end.
Above all, Julia was a devoted and resilient single mother to her two daughters, Maddie and Meredith.
After nearly 20 years of battling Parkinson’s, Julia passed peacefully at her home in Atlanta, GA on December 8, 2018.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Maddie and Meredith, her mother, Marilyn (Duncan) and her brother, John Duncan.
Services: A memorial service will be held at H.M. Patterson and Son Spring Hill Chapel in Atlanta, GA on Sunday, December 16 at 11am, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Julia’s memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association are appreciated.
