Dessie “Dot” Clark November 10, 1922 - December 19, 2014 Dessie Clark, age 92, was the daughter of the late Willie and Lillie Mae Spivey and wife of the late Ed Clark. She died peacefully in her sleep on December 19. She was a former resident in Chamblee, GA, Douglas, GA and was currently residing in Knoxville,TN . She is survived by her 3 children, John Williams of Knoxville, TN, Anne Bingham of Nashville, TN and David Williams of Commerce, GA, her brother, Bill Spivey of Rome, GA and her sister, Libby Porter of Douglas, GA. She was the sister of the late Mae Darley, Evelyn McMillian and Linda Miller. She was a loving Mimi to 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dot had an unwavering love for her family that always came first. She was blessed with many talents: cooking, sewing, gardening, painting, singing, playing the organ, poetry writing and a passion for helping people and animals. Those who knew her would say she had a heart of gold and was very down to earth. Since she had such a passion for helping people and animals, the family would appreciate in lieu of flowers that donations be made in her memory to Angelsamongus.org or RainbowVillage.org. Viewing and service will be held on December 23, 2014 at H.M. Patterson & Son , Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and service at 1:00 p.m.
