Betty Wright Waddell

Betty Wright Waddell, 88, of Brookhaven, GA passed away May 29, 2014. She was born to the late Albert and Annie Martin on April 22, 1926 in Atlanta, GA. After Betty graduated from Chamblee High School, she attended Soule Business College in New Orleans where she received a business degree. Betty was devoted to her family. She loved antiquing, sewing and cooking. She was also an active member of Brookhaven United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Donald M. Wright, Sr and husband of 2 years, James Waddell and sister, Nell. Betty is survived by her son, Donald M. Wright, Jr and wife Judy, daughter, Patricia Stoeckig and husband Rick, grandsons, Mac and Doug Wright, Curt and Kyle Stoeckig, great-grandsons, Parker, Jackson and Hunter Wright and Gabe and Ethan Stoeckig, sister, Nell, step-sons, Jimmy and Michael Waddell and step-grandson, J.C. Waddell. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00pm in the chapel of H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00pm prior to the service.
