Anne was born in Winter Park, FL to Don and Jeanne Kurtzahn on January 27, 1966. She was a proud graduate from Marist School in Atlanta, GA, Hollins University in Roanoke, VA, and Emory University where she earned an MBA in 1997 while also working at HP. Anne was a lifelong employee of Hewlett-Packard starting in 1988 where she served in a number of positions culminating as a project manager on several international projects at the time of her death.
Anne was caring, passionate, and outgoing – always lending an ear or opinion if needed. She was a talented vocalist, singing in Song of Atlanta for many years and enjoying all things musical – frequently attending concerts by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, seeing musicals at the Fox Theater and seeing her favorite bands and artists as they came though Atlanta. She enjoyed traveling, either solo or with her many friends to places like St. Simon’s Island, the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia, New York City, Disney World, and as far away as Ireland and Russia. Anne was a devout animal lover and an enthusiastic supporter of animal rescue.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Jeanne Kurtzahn, and her beloved black Labrador, Ally. Anne is survived by her brother, Michael Kurtzahn (Meredith), nephew Jack Kurtzahn, and many aunts and cousins, most of whom reside in Minnesota and stretch from Washington state to Indiana. Anne is also survived by her “Framily” and “Anne’s Army/Anne’s Angels” – a group too large to list individually, but initiated by her dear friend, Margaret Shaw.
Anne’s family and friends wish to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Villa Palazzo in Sandy Springs and to Visiting Nurses Hospice Atlanta for their loving care of Anne in her final weeks. Additional thanks to Northside Hospital’s staff and the office of Dr. Meaghan Tenney.
