A lifelong resident of Bogart with a family line covering over eight generations, including members of the Cash, Luke, Hodges and Fowler families, Mr. Cash was the son of the late William Benjamin Cash and Christine Fowler Cash. He spent over 35 years as a long-haul truck driver for Dixie Cap, Oliver, Brown and Southeast Rubber trucking companies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children: Michael Cash and Tabitha Cash; brother, Ben Cash; and sister, Pat Wheeler.
Survivors include children: San Cash and Ronnie E. Cash, both of Bogart, Mary Jane Cash of Hartwell; former wife, Mary Duncan of Bogart; brothers: Jim Cash and Jerry Cash, both of Bogart; grandchildren: Spencer Newman, Stephanie Marion (Marcus), Ryan Garner, Lauren Huckaby (Gary) and Zack Cash (Kristen); great-grandchildren: Viviana, Colton, Maggie Beau, Wyatt, Gunner and Gray; numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Mr. Cash’s wishes, no formal services will be held and the family will gather privately to celebrate his life. In lieu of a service and to honor the founding fathers of the Bogart community, the family requests that on Saturday evening, December 2, that you “leave a light on.” On that evening, you will leave your front porch light on to honor Ronald’s life and all of those who went before him and worked to make Bogart the wonderful community that it is today.
Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
