Born on February 14, 1957, in Jacksonville, FL, to Jackie Frost and Ed Thomas, Richard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose gentle spirit and love for life touched everyone around him.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army at Fort Benning, GA, where he developed a strong sense of duty and honor. He worked at AutoZone for 17 years, where he was known for his dedication, friendly nature, and the many connections he made with coworkers.
A man of many talents and interests, Richard enjoyed woodworking, cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs, and spending weekends watching NASCAR racing. Above all, his greatest joy came from spending countless hours playing with his grandson, Ethan, who brought him endless happiness.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carmen; his son, Richard Jr., and wife, Jennifer, of Charlotte, NC, and daughters: Melissa, Caressa, and Kelci, all of Bowman, GA; and his beloved grandson, Ethan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Frost and Ed Thomas.
