Born in Madison, Mrs. Shepherd was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Parr and her husband, Millard R. Shepherd Sr. She attended Whitehall Baptist Church, loved Southern Gospel singing and we are sure she is singing in Heaven now.
Survivors include children, Linda Chancey (LeRoy) of Hull, Ross Shepherd (Sherry) of Hull and Brenda Standridge Cape (Curtis) of Danielsville; brother, Sammy Parr; sisters, Betty Clark, Willie Strickland and Judy Herndon; special friend, Bob Townsend; grandchildren, Lee Chancey (Sarah), Melissa Crumley (John), Andrew Standridge, Laura Fleming (Tim), and John Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Blaine Smith (Danielle), Ella Chancey, Abbey Smith, Lilly Kate Chancey, Addison Crumley and Jaron Fleming.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
