Born in Oconee County, Mr. Marshall was the son of the late Ramey Marshall and Bessie Lee Marshall and was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a meat buyer for Associated Grocers. His greatest joy was being a grandfather to his grandkids traveling far and wide, never missing a game or event.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Tolbert Marshall of Senoia; children, H. Lee Marshall Jr. (Beth) of Savannah, Karen McFarlin (Kevin) of Jonesboro and Janet Garner (Andy) of Sharpsburg; sister, Geneva Dillard (Kenneth) of Nicholson; grandchildren, Jonathan Marshall (Sophi), Kody McFarlin, Krystal McFarlin, Drew Garner (Casey), Chad Garner, Jessi Garner, Elijah Marshall, Hannah Marshall, Abbey Butler and Rachel Duncan; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m., at Oconee Hill Cemetery. Mr. Marshall's brother-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Dillard, will officiate the service.
