A native of Lincolnton, GA, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Wellington Burch, Jr. and Mary Ester Edmunds Burch, her beloved husband, Wylie and her son, Todd.
Beverly is survived by her devoted siblings, Wellington Burch and Caroline Thornton (Gene), daughter, Tara Truitt, four grandchildren, Nikki Sharp (Hobie), Nigel, Fiona and Liam Wilkes and two great grandchildren, Carolyn and Ethan Sharp.
Beverly was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church, in Albany, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a nursery school teacher, known as Miss Bea, for over 20 years at Miss Jan’s nursery and was a talented artist and loved flowers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Bernstein Funeral Home, in Athens.
A graveside funeral service will be held 4:30 PM, Saturday, April 16, in Crown Hill Cemetery, in Albany, with Reverend John Spencer officiating.
The family would love to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Silverleaf Memory Care of Athens, particularly to Evangeline “Van,” who Beverly adored. They enjoyed Beverly’s humor and created a safe and comfortable space for her. And, a special thank you to Agape Hospice for their kindness and comfort.
