Born in Clarke County, Mr. Pierce was the son of the late Jasper Pierce and Effie Toole Pierce and was raised by Ben and Vera Kitchens. He enjoyed fishing and wrestling.
Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Ray Pierce.
Survivors include his beloved Margaret Pierce; daughters, Judy Lynn Casper (Mike) and Donna Lynn Harrison (Heath); sister, Mary Ann Thrasher; grandchildren, Linda Herring (Richard), Roger Dockery (Christy) and Jessica Andrews (Dylan); nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, with Pastors David Cox and Coy Brooks officiating.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Bernstein Funeral Home.
