A native of Oconee County, GA, Mrs. Hale was the daughter of Jimmy and Mamie Marshall and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John William Hale, a granddaughter, Amanda Hale, and brothers, Calvin Marshall and Jamie Marshall. She was a member of Ashford Memorial Methodist Church and the Morning Circle.
The family would like to thank the staff of Talmage Terrace and Family Life Enrichment Center for all the kindness shown to their mother and especially the wonderful circle of friends that she came to love.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Jordan and husband, Ed of Warthen, GA; a son, J. Fred Hale and wife, Eileen of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Jessica Winkles and husband, Ron of Summerville, SC; John Jordan and wife, Meredith of Atlanta, Jason Jordan of Decatur, and J.D. Hale of Watkinsville; great-grandchildren, Raleigh and Parker Winkles; sister, Dorothy Camp of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Jean Marshall of Greenville, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 11AM Friday, August 26th at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev Lowrie J. Welton officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30AM at Bernstein Funeral Home prior to the service.
