Albert had a great love for music and was very talented in playing many instruments, with the guitar being his favorite. He was a songwriter and was in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Atlanta. He had his own band, The Jades, and was a founding member of Midnight Praise and the Harmony Trio.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, James Perry Dailey and Alpha Lou Faircloth Dailey; and siblings: Richard, Leroy, JC, Lynn, Louise, Troy and Lois.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Hazel Ann Samples Dailey; daughters: Kathy Davis (Brian) of Watkinsville and Tammy Baker (Kenny) of Maysville; sons: Steve Dailey (Laura) of Watkinsville, Tim Ward (Karen) of Jefferson and Mikie Houseman (Mechele) of Watkinsville; sisters: Linda Powers of Eatonton and Diane Amos of Comer; brother, Danny Dailey of Rome; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 4, at 2:00 p.m., in the Bernstein Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Joshua Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
