Robert Floyd McCluskey Sr.

Robert was born to Robert and Mary Chambers McCluskey on November 10, 1946.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother Robert Larry McCluskey; several half-brothers and sisters; grandson Robert Darwin McCluskey; a set of twin grandsons; and a set of twin granddaughters.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Thomas McCluskey; sons Robert Floyd McCluskey Jr. (Donna K.) of Minor Hill, TN., Jeff McCluskey (Kay) , Dennis McCluskey (Loretta Johns), both of Athens; daughters Vickie Suzanne Long (Tim) of Athens and Christie LeAnne McCluskey also of Athens; brother Dale McCluskey (Ann) of Minor Hill; grandchildren Adena Belle McCluskey, Shania McCluskey, Grace McCluskey, Jessica McCluskey, Hannah Long, Trent Long, and Naven Long.

Mr. McCluskey was a member of Powell Church of Christ. He was a longtime carpenter, and his hobbies included drawing, fishing, hunting and painting. He always had time for his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could.

Pallbearers will be Larry White, Bobby White, David Jackson, Lanny Holland, William Pepper, Jimmy Glass, Jimmy Helms, and Dakota Siniard. Honorary pallbearer will be Raye White.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 6-8 pm at McConnell Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10 am also at McConnell Funeral Home, burial will follow at Evans Cemetery.
