Mrs. Scott was born December 4, 1926; in Morgan County, AL; to Gabe David Edwards and Lizzie Ellen Stevenson Edwards.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Thomas Calvin Scott, two brothers J.C. Edwards, Bobby Edwards and three sisters Mary Oakes, Dimple Irvin, and Rene Wilburn.
Mrs. Scott loved gardening, flowers and animals. She was a homemaker and caregiver.
Survivors include her four sisters Iris Brown of Lacey‘s Spring, AL; Lucy Jenkins of Anniston, AL; Barbara Ann Lowery Lacey’s Spring, AL; and Jewel Faye Cahela of Lacey’s Spring, AL and a host of nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Eudy, Joe Asebedo, Jackie Lowery, Tyler Fortenberry, Micah Smart, and Johnny Bloodworth.
Funeral Service will be Saturday December 3, 2022 at 2 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from 12:00 –2:00 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
