Mrs. Carter was born in Limestone County to Payton and Myra Lewter Adcock on December 29, 1938.
Margaret was a member of Market Street Church of Christ. She was dedicated to her family and God. She enjoyed nothing more than sitting on a bank somewhere fishing. She loved to travel, to garden, and to take care of those she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Delmar Pettie Carter and sister Lois Ann Luker.
Survivors include her three daughters: Marquetta Carter of Athens, Mitzi Carruth of Athens, and Lisa White of Prospect, TN; brother Paul Adcock (Dale); grandchildren Kerri Smith (Joel), Shaun Carruth (Dana), Kolbie Rogers (James); and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday July 17, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at McConnell Funeral Home. A service in her honor will be Thursday July 18, 2024 at 10am at McConnell with David Cox presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
