Ms. Page was born on January 24, 1942, to Rowe and Viva Sanderson. She was a retired teacher with the Madison County School system, where she was very well known for her skill in making her lessons engaging and her storytelling. Gardening in her flowerbeds was one of her favorite hobbies.
She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her selfless, giving and helping spirit.
Visitation will be at McConnell Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 27th from 11am until 1pm. A chapel funeral service will begin at 1pm with burial to follow at Athens City Cemetery.
Ms. Page is survived by her son, Vernon Page; daughter, Mary Allyson Page; sisters, Ruth Burnett and Rody Royer; grandchildren, Lindsay Kugler (Stedmon) and Kelsey Clark (Matt); great-grandchildren, Matthew Ross Clark and Rowe Benton Clark; and her beloved dog, Miss Daffy Cuddles.
Her parents precede her in death.
