She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Littleton Sandlin, one brother, Jimmie Lumpkin, two sisters, Evelyn Singleton and Joneal Pruett.
Mrs. Sandlin was a retired high school teacher from Cullman High School.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Robert and Carol Sandlin of Athens, AL; one daughter, Connie C. Schoonmaker and husband Jim of Billings, MT; one sister, Mickie Beatty and husband Richard of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Dr. Daniel and Ashley Sandlin, Doctors Nick Kentros and Megan Sandlin Kentros, Alex Schoonmaker, Morgan Schoonmaker Reid and husband Dylan.
A memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church in Athens, on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
