Doise Edward (Tom) Long

Mr. Long was born January 17, 1937 in Pulaski, TN to Ed Long and Bertha Chambers Long.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Red Long, Johnny Long, Eddie Lee Long, two sisters, Betty Faye Long and Beck Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Ann Long, one daughter, Brenda Brackin and husband David of Lexington, AL; three brothers, Sherman Long and wife Sue of Tanner, AL; Dude Long and wife Polly of Greenbrier, AL; Ray Long of Greenbrier; four sisters, Jo Long of Greenbrier, AL; Judy Long of Athens, AL; Peggy Evans and husband Gene of Athens, AL; Inez Sisco and husband Buster of Athens, AL; three grandchildren, Alan Brackin and wife Miranda of Russellville, AL; Tara Brackin of Decatur, AL; Traci Jones and husband Dustin of Lexington, AL; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday, June 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Rickey Lowery officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hester Chapel Cemetery in Lester, AL.

Pallbearers will be, Shannon Long, Mikey Long, Shaun Morgan, Buddy Brown, Scotty Brown, and Brent Long.
