Alexa Marie Bowers

Alexa Marie Bowers, age 61, of Madison, Alabama passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Eugene Bowers in 2009, her mother Ginny Sterling Bowers in 2012 and her older brother Bruce Bowers in 2019 but is survived by two sisters, Dana Southard and Celia Schmidt, both living in north Alabama.

Alexa did not want a big memorial or funeral service. So her sisters will welcome anyone who wants to pay their respects at the burial in the Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL, on September 9th at 1:00 PM. Flowers may be ordered for delivery to the grave site from Dugger’s Florist in Athens (or purchased and taken to the burial).

Alexa was a bright spot in the Bowers family. Once reaching adulthood, she immersed herself in the local tennis community while also attending college at UNA (University of North Alabama). Professionally, she worked in the Madison County emergency response center for around 20 years. She retired and lived out her last years on a farm in Limestone County that she inherited from her parents.
