Over the past year Arlene's quality of health had begun to diminish and the Visiting Angels came into her home and assisted her with daily needs. With their assistance, Arlene was able to attend her Senior Center lunches with the usual lunch group at the Santa Margarita Senior Center, Then, most recently, as more assistance was required, the Visiting Angels provided 24-hour care. For this Visiting Angels care, we know for sure Arlene and family members are most grateful. Also, we want to include as well the outstanding services provided by Central Coast Hospice during this overall period of time. Later she became a clerk in the local Sprouse-Reitz 5- 10- & 15-cent store, for manager "Buck" Rogers. On 15 March 1946, Arlene married Frank James Oster in Santa Margarita. They had three children. After 57 years of marriage, her husband preceded her in death on 22 July 2003. She was also preceded in death by two of her children: son Frank Allen Oster on 4 March 1968 in Gia Dinh Province, Vietnam, and her daughter Alita Lynn (Oster) Williams on 6 March 1975 in Taft, California. She is survived by her son Danny Edward Oster of Santa Margarita, California. She is also survived by her brother Marvin Tingdahl of Lancaster, California, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
