

Milton Gall, of Assiniboia, SK, formerly of Coronach, SK, passed away March 19, 2013 at age 82. Predeceased by his parents, John & Suzana, and his wife Klara, Milton is survived by three sons, Tony (Lois), Marcel (Fay) and Morris (Kellie), 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one sister Lil (Marshall Olver), as well as several other relatives.
Milton Emil was born February 24, 1931 in Regina, SK. He grew up in the Hansworth district and attended school in Flinton and Hazel Bank. Milton married Klara Szakacs on November 9, 1954 where they operated a mixed farm operation and worked two sections of land in the Handsworth district. They farmed until 1964, when they sold due to Milt’s back injuries received. They bought a house and made Kipling their home. From Sept. 1966 – April 1967, Milton took a rodeo announcing course in Winnipeg. They returned to Kipling and where he worked at the Central Garage until March 1972. In April of 1972, they moved to Coronach where he was the custodian for the School. In the fall of 1975 he went to work for Graham Construction at the Power Plant and for S.P.C. and Flanders as an equipment operator until he got injured in 1982 and underwent back surgery. They moved to Moose Jaw in 1984 and managed an apartment block, worked for St. Anthony’s Hospital as night security and at Asphalt refinery. In the fall of 1986 Milton and Klara moved to Assiniboia, where Milt worked in security at rodeos, and graduation dances in Assiniboia and area. Due to heart problems, Milton retired and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. Milton was a member of the Elks in Coronach and liked his hobbies of stamp and coin collecting. Milton was a very proud Grandpa, attending the grandchildren's sport functions, and enjoying hunting and fishing with family when possible. He always wanted to hear the latest updates on his great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service was held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in Ross Funeral Chapel, Assiniboia, SK. Pastor Greg Dermody officiated. Tribute was given by family members and Eulogy given by grandson David Gall. Organist was Ruth Nekurak. Pallbearers were grandsons: Ryder Gall, Ezra Gall Lalonde, Cody Mercer, Michael Gall Lalonde, David Gall, and Lawrence Gall and nephew Calvin Holm. Interment followed in the Coronach Cemetery, Coronach, SK. Donations in Memory of Milt may be made to the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan.
