Steven Oliver Owens

Steven Oliver Owens, age 65, of Ashland, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Steven was born July 29, 1956. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter L. Owens Sr.; Sisters-in-Law, Jenny Owens and Melinda Propps; and Father-in-law, Donald Woods. He is survived by his wife Teresa (Terry) Owens, and many fur babies. He is also survived by his Mother, Lillian Owens, Brother, Walter Lee Owens Jr. (Lori),Sister Jo Ann Owens, Brother-in-law, Jeff Propps; Nephews, Andrew Owens (Karen), Chris Owens (wife, Lindsay and son, Cameron), Matthew Propps; Niece, Emily Bailey; and Mother-in-law, Gail Woods. Steven was an experienced lawyer practicing in the field since 1981. After he received his Juris Doctor he entered into the United States Navy for several years. He was a patron of the First Baptist Church of Ashland, where he made many friends over the years there. Steven would often remind his family and friends to "always tell your loved ones that you love them and hug them often (and to always spay and neuter your pets as well!")
