Larry "Spencer" Ball

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Payne Ball; daughter, Travis Ann Ball.; and parents, Laura and Tom Ball.

Larry was a skilled pilot and a dedicated flight instructor, sharing his passion for aviation with others. In addition to his aviation pursuits, he owned a successful truck repair company, Ball's Trucking in Richmond, VA.. He was also a proud member of the Masons, embodying their values of brotherhood and community service. In the Masonic Lodge, he was Master and District Deputy. He was a lifelong member of Independence Christian Church. Larry's love for music led him to sing in the choir, bringing joy to those around him. Larry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lauren Dale Ball (nee Grigg); daughter, Angela Hall Hynson (Kyle), grandchildren Danielle Smith (Chris), Levin Hynson (Maddie), and Aiden Ball; great-grandchildren, Bentley Hynson and Raylan Smith. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Independence Christian Church, 14023 Independence Rd, Ashland, VA 23005 where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. A reception will follow.
