Bessie Wright Epps

Bessie Wright Epps of Fishersville, Virginia formerly of Ashland, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the age of 101. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Epps; her son, Paul Epps, Jr.; her daughter, Kay Madison; her step-son, Danny Epps; her granddaughter, Cheryl Epps; her grandson, Jimmy Rice and her sister, Elizabeth Shupe. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Epps; her step-daughter, Joyce Katzin;; her grandchildren, Caitlin Evans, Debbie Epps, Donna Tolbert and William Madison, Jr.; her niece, Edith Gambrell; her great-grandchildren, Jade Mays, Brandy, Epps, Olivia Epps, Jaxon Evans, Amerie Evans, Mikah Evans and many others; and many great-great grandchildren. Bessie was a nurse for many years and was a member of Winns Baptist Church, where she was a devoted member. She loved gardening, painting and bird watching. Relatives and friends are invited to Bessie's visitation at Nelsen Funeral Home- Ashland on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 11AM until the time of the funeral service at 12 PM.
