Albert Christiansen Jr.

Albert Christiansen Jr. “Chris”, age 95, of Ashland, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was the loving husband of Virginia Harper Christiansen and brother-in-law of Betty B. Christiansen of Sandston, VA, and Jimmie Main of Olar, SC. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Girtie F. Christiansen, second wife, Lereve Christiansen, parents Albert, Sr. and Ellen Christiansen, his brother Charles H. Christiansen, and his sister Virginia Main. Chris served in the Navy during the Korean War and retired as a Virginia State Trooper. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Ashland and Masonic Fraternity Ashland-Lodge 168 for 63 years. Relatives and friends are invited to Chris’ visitation at First Baptist Church, 800 Thompson St., Ashland, VA on Friday, October 25 from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM. The interment will be at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Endowment Fund, 800 Thompson Street, Ashland, VA 23005.
