Born May 18, 1984, in Ashland, Ohio, to Steven and Sheila (Blanton) Roper, she was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. Shanna adored her family—especially her children, nieces and nephews—and loved going to their various soccer, softball and school activities. Her love of children was evident in her career choice. She worked at Park Street School for 20 years as both a teacher and administrator for preschool aged children. She loved working with the students and watching them learn and grow. Shanna thoroughly enjoyed her vacations, especially to the beach and mountains.
Left to cherish Shanna’s memory are her loving husband, Michael “Mike” Stoffer; her children, the joys of her life, Kaley, Colton and Chase; parents, Steve and Sheila Roper; grandmother, Rita Farver Roper; two sisters, Stephanie (Jamul) Smith and Stacey (Jerrod) Stuart; nieces, Shiloh, Savanah, Lydia, Rowan; nephew, Evan; great-niece, Lily Ann; great-nephew, Waylon; in-laws, Richard and Cathy Stoffer; and sister-in-law, Debbie (Gregory) Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Geneva Blanton and James Roper Sr.; uncle, Bill Roper; aunt, Jennifer Boose; and uncle, Mike Blanton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Park Street Brethren Church.
