Marion Hazel Cobb

Marion (Peggy) Emsley Cobb, recently of Fort Collins, CO, passed away quietly on January 10, 2020 at 94 years old. Peggy was born in Long Island, NY in 1925, the daughter of Wilfred and Myrtis Emsley. The family relocated to Colorado Springs, CO where she met her future husband, Lamar, in high school. They were married for 73 years until the death of Lamar Cobb in 2016. They were a military family for nearly 25 years until retirement and then bought an almond orchard in Winton, California where they lived until 2016. During that time she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and post office employee in Winton.

She is survived by one brother, Franklin Emsley, one daughter, Peggy Carter, two sons: Patrick Cobb and Michael Cobb, 7 grandchildren: Tiffany Cobb, Kimberley Stewart, Lindsay Conway, Adrienne Garrison, Jared Cobb, Michael Cobb, Jr., and Alison Cobb, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Special thanks to Fox Meadows Assisted Living who gave her wonderful care for the last three years of her life.

There will be no formal celebration of her life, we ask you to hold her in your heart and think of her and her love for us all. At her request, we will take her ashes with those of her husband, Lamar, back to Colorado Springs.
