Karla Sue (Schmitter) Gunn passed away on May 1, 2019 with her family at her side. She was born to Walter and Louise Schmitter in Milwaukee, WI on July 10, 1933. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years , John B. (Jack) Gunn, her daughter Mari Gunn Kauffmann, along with daughters Connie Franks, Shirley Schuster, Lara Gunn Fisher, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Sue was also predeceased by three sons, Bruce, James and Paul. She and Jack lived in Germany and San Francisco in their early years, then in Palo Alto and Santa Cruz County during the 60s through 80s where Sue ran several businesses and managed rental properties in CA, HI and WA. A Celebration of Life is planned for the week of July 15 here in Golden, CO. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association or to the American Cancer Society.
