Jimmie C Randolph, age 66, of Arnold, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Jimmie was born March 27, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to the late David and Elaine (nee Knuckles) Randolph; loving husband of the late Melissa Randolph.
After graduating from Fox High School, he joined the Navy. His assignment in Southeast Asia was a seaman stationed on the USS Vancouver. His security detail included forward gun duties and special security detail with Operation Eagle Pull, the evacuation of Cambodia and Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of South Vietnam. He finished his tour in San Diego in 1976 as a SN-E3. He was honorably discharged but continued serving his country with the Navy reserve. He spent a little bit of time at Broadway Ford while assisting his father in the family’s construction business. A significant build for the company was Arnold Bowl. He assisted with the operations of Arnold Bowl with his father. Arnold bowl was the only attraction around drawing bowling greats and televised tournaments.
He changed his career path while serving his country working at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Arnold. Jimmie was an integral part of creating updated maps of the Middle East for the armed forces in the battlefield. Jimmie received many praises from key government officials and was decorated with many achievement awards that showed his commitment to the agency. Most recently Jimmie worked at Sinclair and Rush as a machine operator. He cherished the friendships from his coworkers and the community within the workforce.
Mr. Randolph was an avid hunter and fisherman with a passion for the craft of gunsmithing. He was known for his long shot and the ability to shoot a quick moving target. He cherished the times with friends and family boating and fishing on Missouri's rivers and lakes. In the 80's Jimmie competed in various canoe races ranking him in the top 5. Jimmie loved to travel with his wife Melissa most notably exploring the Ozarks of Missouri, Arkansas border and the foothills of Tennessee. Their goal was to retire in Florida after having a wonderful time exploring the beaches and interacting with Dolphins.
His compelling stories told you about his experiences, from the Blue 67 Corvette that got away, to catching the lunker with fishing legends, and beating bowling Hall of Famers. He keeps you interested no matter what good or bad life experience he would share. A big-hearted man with a stubborn big toe, Jimmie C Randolph will surely be missed!
Jimmie is survived by this stepdaughter Sheila Frome and her husband Chris Frome. Jimmie also survived by his son Jimmie Ray Randolph and his two sisters, Barbara Arnold and Darla Millick.
A graveside service with Military honors for Jimmie will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Highway M., Barnhart, MO 63012.
