Mary Alice Dickson

Mary Alice Dickson, 91, of Arlington, WA passed away February 27, 2015 in Stanwood, WA. She was born to Charles and Eva Marchant March 12, 1923 in Cowley, WY. After graduating from high school she worked as a real estate broker. Mary enjoyed creating things in stained glass and was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mary obtained her pilot’s license and flew for many years. She was a most loving person. Preceding her in death were her siblings Ronald Marchant and Evalou Willis. Surviving Mary is her loving husband of 21 years Robert Dickson of Arlington; children, Peggy Shurtleff of Salt Lake City, UT, Tim Shurtleff of St. Louis, MO, Beverly Ware of American Forks, UT, John Shurtleff of the Netherlands, Rebecca Phillip of St. George, UT; step-children, Robert L. Dickson of Winthrop, WA, Dennis L. Dickson of Arlington, Kathleen Johnson of Aloha, OR, Linda Jones of Spokane, WA, Ellen S. Lovacek of Salt Lake City, Kristeen Tate of Rancho San Margarita, CA; sisters, Roma Frost of Ogden, UT, Lauren Frost of Cowley, WY, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stillaguamish Ward at the corner of State Highway 530 NE and the Arlington Heights Rd. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. with a graveside service to follow that at Arlington Municipal Cemetery.
