Dale A. Bly, 93, of Arlington made his peaceful transition into heaven at home on the morning of June 22, 2024, with his beloved soulmate, Dolly by his side. Our hearts mourn the loss of this extraordinary man but we find comfort in knowing he is at peace now in his eternal resting place in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father.
The oldest son of Irma and Roy Bly was born July 20, 1930 in Bemidji, Mn and moved to Washington State as a young boy. He attended Everett High School and he served honorably in the United States Air Force. He worked for over 36 years at Scott Paper Co. in Everett.
His faith, the source of his strength and resilience, was the cornerstone of his life, bringing him immense peace and comfort throughout his life. As a devout Catholic he found great joy in serving others through his volunteer work within his church community. He treasured his time with the men's group at Immaculate Conception in Arlington, where he found brotherhood, encouragement, spiritual nourishment and where he formed deep and lasting friendships.
Anyone who knew Dale knew he was an avid outdoorsmen. He loved fishing and hunting and being in the great outdoors, especially on the North Fork of the Stillaguamish river where he owned property for many years. He was an active member of the Evergreen Fly Fishing club.
Married for over 40 years to Ramona Mendivil Bly, they raised 3 children together and were blessed with 3 treasured grandchildren, Kevin (Caitlin), Patrick and Christina and one precious great grandchild, Duncan. He was predeceased by Ramona, his son Joe, his brothers Rodney and Loren, his sister Sonja and his parents Roy and Irma.
Sharing in this profound loss with Dolly, Dale leaves his cherished daughters, Mary (Kieran) and Jennifer (Jamie), Dolly's treasured son Tod (Annette) who he considered a son and grandchildren Ben (Micki) and Jon (Aly), his brother Duane (Carol), his sister Joanne, his sister-in-law Noreen and countless other family members, nieces, nephews and cousins. His absence will be immensely felt by all who knew and loved him.
