Christina graduated from West High School in Bremerton, Washington, in 1970. She had many different jobs before leaving the workforce, but the one she was most proud of was being a mom and nana. Christina, or "Chris" as she was known to friends, was a longtime resident of The Whitehorse Apartment Community, where she became close friends with all her surrounding neighbors for over 20 years.
Though Christina's health had been failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain. Christina was stubborn and sassy but passionate about her friends, family, and the center of her world, her chugweenie, Charlie.
Christina is survived by her son, Michael O'Donnell; her daughter, Heather Meredith (Heather's husband, Luis Morales-Mata); her chugweenie, Charlie; and her grandchildren: Carissa Meredith (Kissa-poo), Madison Martina (Maddy-moo), Mikayla O'Donnell (Sal), Isabella Morales-Mata Meredith (Bella), and Luis Jr. (Bubby). She is also survived by her sister, Allyne Lawson, and Allyne's husband, Sam.
Christina leaves behind her lifelong friend, Michael Alderson (Little Mike), and many others. A special thank you to her dear friend and Resident Manager, Marti Brown, and her husband, Larry Brown, as well as to Gary Schillhammer, Becca Norgord, Jenny Requa, and the office staff at The Darrington Clinic.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church Annex in Darrington, Washington, on Saturday, September 28, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, Christina's family asks that donations be made to Darrington Memorial Dinners so they may continue to help the families of lost loved ones.
