Quirico Miguel Valverde
September 29, 1944 – June 21, 2019
Quirico Miguel Valverde, aged 74, of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on June 21, 2019 at 1:35 am
surrounded by his immediate family. Quirico was born in San Jose, Costa Rica to Bolivar Valverde and
Etelvina Jimenez on September 29, 1944. He learned to play the guitar at a young age and was an
outstanding musician and artist throughout his life whose unique voice and mastery of the guitar was
sought by many.
Quirico married his love, Alice, on July 23, 1966, had 3 kids and remained close to his
beloved family at his side until his last breathe. He moved to the United States in 1974 in search of new
opportunities for himself and his family and he called Northern Virginia home for 44 years. A friendly,
happy and personable man who made a successful career of being a salesmen and business owner with
his charming and vibrant personality.
He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather and leaves behind his wife, Alice C.
Valverde, children, Will A. Valverde, Grethel M. Valverde and Maureen E. Valverde and two
granddaughters, Alexa N. Valverde and Madison L. Valverde amongst hundreds of friends who loved him
like family.
A Mass in honor of Quirico Miguel Valverde is being held on Saturday, June 21, 2019 at St. Anthony of
Padua Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA 22041 at 1:00 p.m. celebrated by Father
Matthew Zuberbueler.
We loved him a lot but God loved him more ...until we see you again!
