June 21, 2016, Joseph T. Pisciotta of Arlington, VA, 99 yrs. old, passed away peacefully in his home. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Angela “Lee” Barbaro Pisciotta. He leaves two children, Angela M. Walsh of Vienna, VA and Joseph A. Pisciotta of Falls Church, VA. Beloved Grandfather to six grandchildren and Great-Grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren.
Born February 1, 1917, in Cheyenne, WY, Joe retired a Lt. Col. in the US Air Force's Strategic Air Command, directed construction of the Atlas Missile Program and retired a defense and war plans systems analyst for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Fort Myer Old Post Chapel, 204 Lee Ave. Fort Myer, VA 22211, on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 12:45 p.m., followed by burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
