Murphy Funeral Homes

Jane Cali Ing (4/6/1932-10/30/2014) Jane passed away peacefully at the age of 82 after suffering a stroke. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Leslie, son-in-law Scott, and four grandchildren, Peter, Linda, Rebecca, and Daniel and by other family and friends. Jane lived a very independent life up until the end. Some of her greatest memories were encounters she had with famous people like Cary Grant during her days in the hotel business. She loved to take walks, visit farmer’s markets, listen to Lon Solomon preach every Sunday on the radio, visit Memorial Baptist Church to hear Leslie and Scott play music for the services, and connecting with friends and family on Facebook! She was born in Jamestown, NY, but longed for a warmer climate as a young adult and eventually moved to Dallas, Texas to start a new life. She married Sanford Ing and they had one child, Leslie. Sanford died in 1982, so in 1988 she decided to move to the Washington, D.C. area to be near her daughter and grandchildren. She spent much time with each grandchild, always trying to find their special interests and ways to connect with them. Although we will all miss her, we know that she is “absent from the body and at home with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:8) Jane Ing: Monday, Nov. 3, 2014--10:30 am visitation/viewing --chapel of Memorial Baptist Church--11:00 am service. Drive to Columbia Gardens Cemeteryhttp://www.columbiagardenscemetery.org/ --burial at 12 noon. Reception/lunch to follow at 1:00 pm at Memorial Baptist Church.
