Gerald Edward Williams was born on February 14, 1933, and left this life on February 18, 2024. Jerry is survived by his wife of 61 years Peggy Ann Williams, his brother Edd Williams, sister Joan McCall, their four children Grayson, Richard, Kathlyn, and Susan, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Korea and Japan, was part of the Delta State football team that went undefeated and untied in 1952, the last team in Mississippi history to accomplish this feat, was a member of the Virginia Bar for over 50 years, was an active member of The Church of Christ in Falls Church congregation and served as president of the Arlington Optimist Club. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, at 10:00 am at The Church of Christ in Falls Church. A private burial with military honors will be held at National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico later that day.
