EVERETT DALE CASEY (age 73) died suddenly of a heart attack at home in Arlington, VA, on August 19, 2017. Born in Mountain Home, AK, on September 28, 1943, he grew up in Yakima, WA, before settling in Arlington, VA, in the late 1960s after serving in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was predeceased by his parents, Eva Hale (née Freeman) and Everett E. Casey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Donna Casey (née Cullins), of Arlington; his son, Sean Casey, of Annandale, VA; his stepdaughter, Dianne Thomas (née Copeland) and her husband, Jim, of McLean, VA; his sister, Wanda Ward, and brother, Don Hale, of Yakima, WA; two grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dale spent his career as a miner building the Metro subway system in Washington, DC, rising to the rank of Quality Safety Inspector. Dale was extremely hard-working and loved his cocker spaniels, gardening, coins, and the Seattle Seahawks. Inurnment with honors at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
