Alice C. Burroughs

BURROUGHS, Alice Catherine Costello (97) died peacefully on July 13, 2014. She was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, W. Stanley Burroughs; mother of Diane Burroughs Hoyt (Peter) of Savannah, GA and William S. Burroughs, Jr. (Virginia), of Fleming Island, FL. She is also survived by 4 of her 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Murphy's Funeral Home, 4510 Wilson Blvd., Arlington on Sunday, July 20th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Service will be on Monday, July 21st at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 3302 Washington Blvd, Arlington at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at All Faith Cemetery, Mechanicsville, MD. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the charity of one's choice.
